The Allhama Signature Golf Course have updated their local rules. These are in effect immediately until further notice:
LOCAL RULES ALHAMA SIGNATURE GOLF JUNE 2023
The R.F.E.G. Rules of Golf and the following Local Rules shall apply:
1. OUT OF BOUNDS (Rule 18.2)
It is defined by the stakes and ropes (as fencing) that define the boundaries of the course.
2. IMMOVABLE OBSTRUCTIONS (Rule 16.1)
The dirt paths of Hole 1, all asphalted or concrete paths and their kerbs or ditches.
Drip irrigation hoses surrounding trees or shrubs.
Shrub beds with hose pipe networks.
Trees with stakes, including stakes.
3. ABNORMAL COURSE CONDITIONS (Rule 16.1)
Run-off caused by water run-off, except for laying.
Staked and cordoned off areas (Holes 3 & 12)
4. DROP ZONE ON HOLE 11
If it is known, or virtually certain, that a ball has come to rest in the penalty area, the player may optionally drop a ball in the dropping zone, with a penalty stroke. The dropping area is a relief area under Rule 14.3, which means that a ball must be dropped within the boundaries of the dropping area and come to rest within the dropping area.
LOCAL RULE E-8.2: ZONE OF PROHIBITED PLAY WITHIN ANY PENALTY AREA
The entire area within the boundaries of any penalty area is declared a Prohibited Play Area, which is considered a penalty area and relief must be taken for prohibited playing area interference in accordance with Rule 17.1e (Mandatory Relief for Prohibited Playing Area Interference in Penalty Area). (The lakes are considered a Prohibited Playing Area)
LOCAL RULE E-3: BALL PLACEMENT
When a players ball comes to rest in a portion of the General Area, mowed at fairway height or below, the player may take relief without penalty only once by placing the original ball, or another ball, within the length of a card, provided he/she does not gain distance to the flag.
PENALTY FOR INFRINGEMENT OF THE ABOVE RULES: TWO STROKES
IMPORTANT NOTES:
Do not lose distance to the group in front of you.
Unsporting behaviour may be penalised by the Committee.
If a player is in doubt as how to proceed, he may play a second ball in accordance with Rule 20.1c (3)
